Antibalas Tapped As House Band For Talking Heads Tribute

For the past few months we've been telling you all about the tribute to the music of David Byrne and Talking Heads that impresario Michael Dorf will host at Carnegie Hall in NYC on March 23. We're still awaiting a full list of the 20 acts expected to interpret Byrne and the Heads' music, but there have been a few changes of note.

In looking at the event page, we noticed Brooklyn's own Antibalas have been tapped as the house band for the concert. Antibalas held the same role for last year's Paul Simon Tribute and hit it out of the park. We can only imagine what they'll have in store for Byrne's music. Furthermore, Glen Hansard now appears on the bill. We also noticed Perry Farrell's name has been removed from the list of performers on the site.

For now, here's the confirmed acts for the March 23rd show:

Antibalas (house band), O.A.R., Steve Earle, Todd Snider, Glen Hansard, Alexis Krauss, Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Beth Orton, The Roots, Bebel Gilberto

Tickets are currently available directly from Carnegie Hall.
