Wilco Cancels Indiana Show Due To New Law

Last week Indiana Governor Mike Pence signed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act into law. Critics signals an unwelcoming and discriminatory atmosphere in the Hoosier State. Wilco has weighed in on the controversy by canceling an upcoming show in Indiana.

Jeff Tweedy & Co. have announced they have canceled their May 7 show at the Murat in Indianapolis. Here's the full statement from Wilco's Facebook Page:

"We are canceling our May 7 show at the Murat in Indianapolis. The “Indiana Religious Freedom Restoration Act” feels like thinly disguised legal discrimination to us. Hope to get back to the Hoosier State someday soon, when this odious measure is repealed. Refunds available at point of purchase."

Wilco returns to the road on April 22 in Dallas.
