Beats Antique to Headline Bicycle Day 2015

The annual Bicycle Day 2015 celebration is scheduled for Saturday, April 18 at The Warfield Theatre in San Francisco. Local outfit Beats Antique will headline the single-day art showcase and music festival. Artists Alex Grey and Allyson Grey will once again be contributing to the event as will Sam Flores of Upper Playground who will be painting live as well as exhibiting his work.

Other scheduled musical acts include Emancipator Ensemble, Thriftworks and Desert Dwellers. Tickets and VIP packages, which feature a book signing and meet and greet with Alex Grey and Allyson Grey as well a limited edition Bicycle Day poster print and early entrance and reserved seating in the balcony at the Warfield, are currently available here.

Bicycle Day celebrates Dr. Albert Hoffman's April 19, 1943 bicycle journey in which the scientist took the first trip on a new substance he had developed, LSD. Last year's Bicycle Day celebration was held at The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco, highlights of which are in the video above.
