The Black Keys’ frontman Dan Auerbach has shared a second track from Yours, Dreamily, the debut album of his new side project The Arcs. The Arcs - featuring Auerbach alongside Leon Michels, Richard Swift, Homer Steinweiss, Nick Movshon, Kenny Vaughan and Mariachi Flor de Toloache - will issue the new LP on September 4 via Nonesuch Records. Today they’ve made available “Outta My Mind” in advance of the record.




Co-produced by Auerbach and Michels, Yours, Dreamily was tracked in roughly two weeks through spontaneous, informal recording sessions across the U.S., at facilities such  as the Sound Factory in Los Angeles, the Diamond Mine in Queens, Auerbach’s Easy Eye Sound in Nashville and in a lounge room at Electric Lady in New York City. Engineer Tchad Blake mixed the record on his horse farm in Wales.

In April Auerbach shared two songs as a 7-inch release that featured the album's lead single “Stay In My Corner” backed by “Tomato Can," which were inspired by the Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao boxing match. At that time Auerbach further detailed part of what spurred the project, telling Rolling Stone:

I just wanted to do my thing and get extra weird, I wanted everything to flow [and] be cohesive. A lot of the songs bleed one into the other, a lot like the Grateful Dead – my favorite records that they did. So I’ve got a lot of connected songs. It's basically everything I love about music all wrapped up into one.
