To open the show, Yonder Mountain String Band’s Allie Kral and Dave Johnston, and The Infamous Stringdusters’ Andy Hall, Andy Falco and Chris Pandolfi joined SCI on “Lonesome Fiddle Blues” > “Another Brick In The Wall Part 2” > “Lonesome Fiddle Blues.” Kral stuck around and was joined by band mates Adam Aijala and Ben Kaufmann for “Black Clouds” after which Kaufmann played electric bass in place of SCI’s Keith Moseley on the YMSB original “Catch A Criminal.” The rest of YMSB including Jacob Jolliff emerged to augment “Sharecropper’s Son” with Kaufmann handling lead vocals. Old friend and collaborator Keller Williams then came on stage to assist on “Callalou And Red Snapper,” “Vacate” and “Kidney In A Cooler.” After that SCI played a guest-less “Outside Inside” > “Colliding” to end the first set.
Set two began with “Drums” > “Search” before Big Gigantic saxophonist Dominic Lalli came out to join in on “Bumpin’ Reel” ending the guest-filled portion of the show. “Sometimes A River,” “It Is What It Is,” “Shantytown,” “Way That It Goes,” and “Howard” closed out the second and final SCI set at Electric Forest 2015. “BollyMunster” filled the encore slot as The String Cheese Incident said goodbye to Sherwood Forest one last time.
