In 2016 HBO will finally air the long-in-the-making television series Vinyl put together by famed director Martin Scorsese and Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger. Consequence of Sound reports the show about a '70s record label executive will focus on the "drug and sex-fueled music business as punk and disco were breaking out."

News of the show's development first came to light in 2011. CoS adds that Scorsese will direct the pilot episode of Vinyl, while both Martin and Mick Jagger are aboard as executive producers. Here's more info about the actors involved in the project:

Actor Bobby Cannavale (Boardwalk Empire, Third Watch) is set to play the role of American Century Records president Richie Finestra, who must make a “life-changing decision” amidst the chaos of the ever-evolving ’70s music scene. His wife Devon, a former actress and model, will be played by Olivia Wilde (Her, Tron: Legacy). Also on- board are Ray Romano as Zak Yankovich, American Century’s Head of Promotions, and Andrew “Dice” Clay, who will portray the owner of a chain of radio stations. Jagger’s son James also appears as Kip Stevens, the frontman of punk band Nasty Bits.

No specific air date has been revealed other than "2016."
