The New Mastersounds guitarist Eddie Roberts series of The Payback benefit concerts continues on March 20 and 21 at Cervantes' Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver. Roberts has put together a ridiculous supergroup for the performances that will see him joined by bassist Oteil Burbridge, Meters drummer Zigaboo Modeliste, Greyboy Allstars keyboardist Robert Walter and The Motet horns of Gabe Mervine and Matt Pitts.

What Is The Payback?

Eddie Roberts, guitarist of UK funk band The New Mastersounds, decided to start a series of benefit concerts to focus on various homeless issues in the US. Having live for a period of time in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco and feeling a real sense of connection and community, he was personally touched by the homeless situation, including the ignorance of the reality surrounding the issue. Eddie decided to join his music with artists and organizations that are working to make a difference in the lives of others.
