Foo Fighters have confirmed they will return to the stage on July 4 in frontman Dave Grohl’s hometown of Washington, D.C. with a 20th anniversary celebration at RFK Stadium. The band recently had to cancel a number of international dates following Grohl’s broken leg which he suffered during a concert in Sweden. The announcement came with a quote presumably from Grohl declaring, “"Can’t f***ing wait for the 4th!!! See you at home, DC."




The RFK Stadium gig also includes Buddy Guy, Gary Clark Jr., Heart, Joan Jett, LL Cool J featuring DJ Z-Trip, Trouble Funk and Trombone Shorty. There will also be fireworks and a motorcycle rally in DC. The North American tour then continues with several two night stands planned in Toronto, New York, Boston, Denver and Los Angeles as the tour makes its way across the continent through mid-October.
