Lollapalooza Announces New Festival In Colombia

Days before Lollapalooza kicks off for its 11th year in Chicago’s Grant Park, organizers of the music festival have announced further international expansion with the addition of the inaugural Lollapalooza Colombia. The new festival will be held at Parque Simón Bolivar in Bogota in the fall of 2016 and joins international Lollapalooza events in in Chile, Brazil, Argentina and Berlin.


Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell, WME, C3 Presents and Bogota-based promoters T310 | Absent Papa will stage the event in the Colombian capital city. 

"We have had the ambition to bring Lollapalooza to Colombia for some time now, and have found partners who are true professionals and share our passion for the music,” said Farrell. “Fans in Colombia have a true love of alternative music and we are excited for the rest of the world to find out what we already know about this wonderful country.”

Lollapalooza begins in Chciago Friday, July 31 and continues through Sunday, August 2, featuring Paul McCartney, Metallica, Florence + The Machine, Alabama Shakes, TV On The Radio, Gary Clark Jr., The War On Drugs and more.
