Pro-Shot Videos | Umphreys & Widespread Honor Joe Cocker

Last month, legendary performer Joe Cocker died about a week before New Year's Eve, so we had a feeling some bands from our scene would honor the wily Brit. Two acts that did just that were Widespread Panic and Umphrey's McGee. Recently, both bands shared professionally-shot footage of their Cocker tributes from New Year's Eve.

Widespread Panic ended their three-set New Year's Eve epic at Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina with a cover of The Beatles' "With A Little Help From My Friends" performed in a style similar to Joe Cocker's version. John Bell handled vocals and the band was assisted by The Megablasters horn section. Watch how it went down:

Umphrey's McGee ended their first of three sets on New Year's Eve at The Tabernacle in Atlanta by debuting a cover of "Feelin' Alright" dedicated to Joe Cocker. Guitarist Jake Cinninger handled lead vocals and the band was joined by Mad Dog and his Filthy Little Secret horns. Check it out:
