The band always features Tim Palmieri and Beau Sasser of Kung Fu as well as Bill Carbone of Max Creek alongside Frank Zappa's longtime mallet percussionist Ed Mann. Last Tuesday's show saw Scott Murawski help out on a series of Zappa tunes including "Big Swifty," "Apostrophe," a medley of "Willie the Pimp > Cheap Thrills" and "I'm the Slime," which also featured Corso. Mary stuck around to sing "Magic Fingers" and "Dirty Love" as well. Tramontano surprised the audience by joining the group on guitar and launching into an extended solo on "Outside Now" before switching to drums for "Heavy Duty Judy." Giangreco materialized as well, helping the group close out the show with "Peaches en Regalia" and "Mystery Roach."
The residency concludes tonight with The Z3 hosting moe. drummer Vinnie Amico and Kung Fu's Chris DeAngelis for several tunes.
