Throwback Thursday | Allman Brothers Reunite At Volunteer Jam

Yesterday Gregg Allman extended an olive branch to former bandmate Dickey Bets during an interview with the Wall Street Journal. In celebration of what may just be the end of one of rock's greatest feuds, let's look back at a reunion of Gregg and Dickey, as well as the rest of The Allman Brothers Band that took place in 1986.

A version of the Allman Brothers Band featuring co-founding members Gregg Allman, Dickey Betts, Jaimoe and Butch Trucks along with keyboardist Chuck Leavell, bassists Bruce Waibel and Jerry McCoy and guitarist Dan Toler played a seven-song set at Charlie Daniels' Volunteer Jam on July 12, 1986 in Nashville, TN. The group rolls through their most- beloved concert staples including "Statesboro Blues," "Blue Sky," "One Way Out" and "Whipping Post."
