Mike Gordon and his band wrapped up their tour last night at Union Transfer in Philadelphia. The show opened with the bassist playing acoustic guitar alongside Scott Murawski also on acoustic guitar playing a lighthearted medley of parts of many cover songs.




Mike and Scott kicked off the show alone on stage and seemed to be having fun with the opening run of covers that started the final show on tour. The pair played parts of several tunes, including: "Ramble On" (Led Zeppelin), "China Cat Sunflower" (Grateful Dead), "Feel Like Makin Love" (Bad Company), "Deep River Blues" (Doc Watson), "Whole Lotta Love" (Led Zeppelin with Tour Manager Chris Friday), "Pink Houses" (John Mellencamp), "Long Train Running" (Doobie Brothers) and "Face" (Mike Gordon), at which point percussionist Craig Myers, drummer John Kimock and keyboardist Robert Walter emerged to start the show proper.
